Heather's Background
Heather is a transformational leadership coach and consultant and seasoned litigation partner and leader in an AmLaw 100 law firm. She is passionate about and dedicated to redefining law firm culture, one leader at a time. As a first generation college graduate and attorney, Heather brings a unique perspective enriched by resilience and a deep passion for holistic development.
Her professional journey began with a degree in psychology, with which she worked as a mental health counselor in residential and inpatient child psychiatric programs. These experiences instilled in her a profound understanding of human behavior and the importance of empathy -- skills that seamlessly transitioned with her into the legal profession after she earned her Juris Doctor and served as a guardian ad litem, representing children in foster care in Florida and Colorado.
With over 20 years of experience practicing law, she has spent the last 15 years with a prestigious national law firm with offices across all 50 states, first as an associate then partner. After spending eight impactful years with the Firm‘s Denver office, she founded the Firm's Tennessee office in August 2018 and has served as the Managing Partner of that office since. Under her leadership, the Tennessee office expanded from a single lawyer to a thriving team of over 55 passionate professionals. Her success stems from a vision to break the mold of traditional law practice, anchoring the office in values that prioritize employees as whole individuals.
Guided by the mantras "It takes a village" and "I will meet you where you are," Heather believes in fostering an environment where professional and personal development are equally valued and is dedicated to ensuring teams have the resources and support needed to lead their very best lives with authenticity.
As a Certified Professional Coach and being Dare to Lead™ trained, she leverages her academic and post-graduate training and life experiences to provide innovative and effective leadership coaching and consulting. Her mission is to empower emerging leaders to cultivate their leadership skills and build teams that thrive using a whole-person focus -- fostering environments where each team member is valued, empowered, and thriving in every aspect of their lives.
